I love these kits! I got this as part of a mystery bundle box and was really pleased with it. It’s a really simple but effective design and I can’t wait to get a cushion in it. Because it is very simple I completed this one more quickly than others I’ve done so I’d say it’s ideal for a complete beginner. If you want something which will take a bit longer then you’ll be better off choosing a more detailed design. All the kits are gorgeous and create lovely cushions though. 🙂

I’m really enjoying this kit. I have done a few now and loved them all! I found this one of the more detailed ones so it takes slightly more concentration and time to complete than some of the others I’ve done but I’m enjoying that. If you are a complete beginner you may be better with one of the simpler design for your first attempt at latch hooking but all the kits are gorgeous and latch hooking is a very easy and satisfying to do. I struggled to learn to crochet so was delighted to find something that I could enjoy doing to relax in front of the TV.

I hadn’t done latch hooking for ages! It is sooo addictive! Best part of these kits are that they come ready backed with a good quality soft velvety cream fabric so once you’ve finished the fun bit, there’s no annoying difficult backing to sort. Love the bright, modern designs too. No downsides at all really!

This is the second time I have done this design, and my third cushion so far. Absolutely love them, it is such a therapeutic pastime with something lovely to show at the end. Not my last one though! Next one already waiting to get started on.

Used to doing crochet but adored these designs and wanted to try something different. Becoming ill with Bells Palsy gave me this opportunity … was different to get inti and took a bit of practice but now i’m there I gave found me flow and I love it!!
Fast delivery excellent quality craft kit and really good price. A lot if just don’t supply the back to a cushion but this one did and beautiful quality. Really enjoyed making it , easy relaxing and woukd definitely buy more - a few more designs please these kits are far superior to other ones available. I would like a cherry design please !

This is the second cushion cover I have made, it was a much more precise one than the first as there are very defined lines on it so I had to follow the graph closely. Really enjoyed making it, it’s a very therapeutic way to spend your spare time. Now, on to number 3, which one though? 🤔😂

The first kit I received was unfortunately rain damaged due to the courier not handling it properly. The packaging disintegrated and the contents soaked through. I immediately emailed The Crafts Collective and the customer service was excellent. They arranged a replacement by next day delivery which meant it arrived for my work’s craft day. I loved making the cushion; a really calming, mindful activity and the final result is gorgeous!

I loved this kit. It was fab that everything you needed was included and that the cushion was premade! So no chance of the completed work languishing in a drawer waiting to be made into a cushion. This was my first go at latch hooking. It was easy to pick up. So addictive and enjoyable. I’d highly recommend it and would love to do another!

No! We’ll let you in on a little secret - latch hooking may be the easiest craft you’ll ever try. Just one simple technique opens up a world of possibilities. No fiddly sequences or loops to remember - once you learn the basic latch hook technique, you’re off!
Is this kit good for beginners?
Yes! We believe that crafting should be fun and accessible to all and have designed this kit so it’s super beginner-friendly. Plus, the kit contains easy-to-follow visual instructions and you have access to our video guides too. Don’t worry - it’s super-simple.
I’m a nifty crafter. Should I still try it?
Absolutely! Even as a nifty crafter, it’s great to try your hand at new crafts or just take the time to enjoy an easier activity like latch hooking where there are no complicated stitches and you can really get into the rhythm of the process. Think of it as the ultimate mindful activity. Not to mention the fact that you end up with a beautiful product at the end!
Is it suitable for kids?
We recommend our latch hook cushion kit for kids aged 6+. Latch hooking is really easy and there are no sharp or dangerous tools involved. Children love it! They can do the rug kits, but given they take between 25-50 hours, most children prefer to work on the cushions.
Do you have video tutorials?
Absolutely! We know that lots of people find it easier to learn by watching videos rather than written instructions so we have video tutorials to get you latch hooking in no time.
How long does it take?
Our latch hook cushion kits take about 10-16 hours, depending on your speed. They’re perfectly doable over the course of a weekend, or several at a very relaxed pace.
Our latch hook rug kits take about 25-50 hours, depending on your speed. Expect to spend a month (or two if you're working at a relaxed pace).
Are Your Latch Hook Kits Vegan Friendly?
Yes. All of our yarn is made from 100% acrylic, so there’s no wool or animal-derived materials in our kits.
Are The Finished Latch Hook Products Machine Washable?
Technically, yes, they are—but we don’t recommend it. Instead, we suggest handwashing your masterpiece in cold water and laying it flat to dry. It’s the gentlest way to keep your creation looking fabulous for years to come.
